Performing the Rip-Roaring Jazz of the Early 1900s
Consistently voted "Favourite Band" by Australian Festival audiences, Gail Kingston and Hot Foot Jazz are an eight piece 1920s jazz and gospel band that specialise in performing at traditional jazz festivals around Australia. Based in Adelaide, the band was originally called Kanga Bentley's Hot Foot Seven and was led by premiere jazz trombonist Derek 'Kanga' Bentley. Following Kanga's retirement from touring in 2005 Gail took over as band leader. She holds close the values she learnt from Kanga - perform with passion, love the music, respect and listen to your audience.
Audiences for this style of music are intelligent, adventurous, positive people, who focus on enjoyment, passion, and living life to the full. If this is you keep an eye on the Gigs List page for when the band will be in your area. They would love to see you. While you are here Listen to CD's or even download some Free Music.
